Community Benefit

Elmhurst Memorial Healthcare provided more than $76 million in community benefits in fiscal year 2009— all with the goal of improving the health of the communities we serve. The benefits included a generous financial assistance policy that exceeds standards recommended by the Illinois Hospital Association, a wide variety of community education programs and events offered throughout the year, and language assistance for patients and their families requiring translation services.

The state of Illinois requires hospitals to file a community benefit report each year and specifies the areas of data that need to be provided.
