Pediatrics

At Elmhurst Memorial Hospital, you will have the peace of mind knowing that your child is close to home and in good hands. Our Emergency Department has been approved for Pediatric Care by the Illinois Department of Public Health and our caring and experienced staff is ready to provide the best preventative and special care for your child.

We know how scary a hospital stay can be for our littlest patients, so our Pediatric unit provides a wide range of care in a child-friendly environment. We also understand how scary it can be for the parents so we have adopted a liberal visiting policy, and encourage you to stay overnight. We can even arrange special sibling visitations.

Advanced Treatment in a Family-Centered Environment

You can take comfort in knowing that no matter what level of care your child needs, we can arrange it with the help of our partners at Advocate Lutheran General Children’s Hospital. Together, we are committed to providing the most advanced treatment options available in a supportive, family-centered environment.

While most illnesses are not life-threatening, this relationship with one of the most comprehensive children’s hospitals in Illinois ensures that almost every type of treatment can be arranged quickly and conveniently. Not only are leading neonatologists on-site at our Family Birthing Center, but we can also coordinate high-level care from a broad range of infant and pediatric specialists and subspecialists representing nearly every medical and surgical field.
